Client Profile
The client is a company specializing in the manufacturing and processing of various types of grinding discs. The client’s name has been withheld for confidentiality purposes.
Current Situation
Quality control (QC) is currently performed manually, with workers visually inspecting each disc to assess whether it meets standards in terms of color, shape, and size.
The QC team requires 10 workers to inspect up to 5,000 discs per day, resulting in high labor costs and a significant risk of human error during the inspection process.
The company’s leadership is seeking a digital transformation (DX) solution to automate this process, aiming to reduce manual labor and minimize inspection errors.
Digital Transformation Solution
Based on a site survey, experts from DEHA Digital Solutions proposed the following:
Deploy DEHA’s DQC (Digital Quality Control) system to automate the product inspection process.
Install one inspection device per production line, as illustrated in the system diagram.
Inspection parameters and NG (non-good) quantities will be connected to the company’s production management system, helping to reduce labor demands in the QC department.
